Registration – Full Time Elementary Grades K-7

ELEMENTARY Grades K-7 Program

Please note the following:

  • In order to register for Grades Kindergarten to Grade 7, you must withdraw from your home school.  If it is prior to June, please inform your home school that you will be withdrawing in June in order to attend Burnaby Online for the September 2025 to June 2026 school year.
  • Once enrolled Full-time Grades K-7 students must not be attending any other school.
  • Students do not have to live in district, they can reside anywhere in BC.  Registration is open to students who are ordinarily residents of British Columbia.

Registration:

  • STEP 1: Parent Acknowledgement Form

    • Kindergarten to Grade 7 Full-Time Students:  Registration opens on April 22nd and remains open until September.  
    • Parents must first complete the K-7 Parent Acknowledgement Form. Click here. Once completed, you will receive an email from noreply-ls@sd41.bc.ca.  Please check your “Junk” or “Spam” folders in case the email has been delivered there.  Note: You must complete a separate Acknowledgement Form for each child you register in the Burnaby Online Program.

  • STEP 2: Student Registration

    • In your email from noreply-ls@sd41.bc.ca, you will be given the registration password and can then proceed with your registration by completing the Burnaby Online Registration form available at this link.
    • Important: When you register, if your child is a:
      • Returning Burnaby Online Student, please choose “Current Burnaby Student”  from the drop down menu for Student Profile
      • New Burnaby Online Student, please choose “Enrolling as a Full Time Online Student” from the drop down menu for Student Profile, even if your child has attended school in Burnaby.
    • Keep in mind that registration acceptance only moves the registrant to the review stage, it does not guarantee entrance into our program.  We advise adding burnabyschools.ca to your safe senders list in your email to avoid having our emails to you go into your SPAM or Junk folder.
    • Final approval and entrance will be granted: Once our team reviews all pertinent documents & paperwork, and if the student learning style fits the online learning profile.

  • STEP 3:  September

    • The elementary K-7 program will begin in September.  You will receive more information at that time.
