August Completion Courses

Registration for Grade 10-12 August Completion Courses is now open!

These courses are intended for students who plan to complete the course by August 2025.

  • Career Life Education 10 – August Completion
  • Éducation au Choix de Carrière et de Vie 10 – Aug Completion (This is FCLE)
  • Spanish 10 – August Completion
  • Spanish 11 – August Completion
  • Spanish 12 – August Completion
  • French 11 – August Completion
  • Introductory Spanish 11 – August Completion
  • Introductory Italian 11 – Aug Completion
  • Contemporary Indigenous Studies 12 – August Completion
  • 20th Century World History 12 – Aug Completion
  • Physical Geography 12 – Aug Completion
  • BC First Peoples 12 – Aug Completion – Please Note: This course is a SS 12 course and does not meet the requirements for English 12
  • Physical and Health Education 10 – Aug Completion
  • Photography 12 – August Completion
  • Art Studio 11 – August Completion

Ensure you choose the course name ending with August or Aug Completion when registering for an August Completion course. All other courses are our regular semester/10-month courses and are not available as August Completion courses.

Once registered, students will receive a confirmation email from us, confirming their registration.  Please note that students will have access to August Completion courses in June.

Important Information:  For August Completion courses, students are completing a four-credit course in five weeks (last day is August 5). In order to complete the course successfully, students should expect to work on their course for approximately four hours per day. If this does not fit with your schedule, please register for the ten-month course. For the ten-month course, students can work at their own pace.

Any student looking to take an August Completion course, including those already taking a course with Burnaby Online, will need to register on our website on or after Tuesday April 1st. Registration for August Completion courses will close Friday, June 20th, 2025 or once a course fills up. We encourage those wanting a course to apply early. When registering for an August Completion course, ensure that the course you select has August or Aug Completion in its name. These courses are intended for students who plan to complete the course by August 5th during the summer.
